A swarm of talking robots have descended on the campus of Ole Miss, taking over sidewalks and social media.
It’s pretty much guaranteed that you’ve seen these cute little guys in some capacity on your friends’ social media in past few days. If you still haven’t caught on, over 30 of these high-tech white bots have been delivering food from the Union, the Pavillion, and other restaurant spots to students and faculty all over campus. A fittingly futuristic sounding company is behind these bots. Starship Technologies operates the app where students can order food and track their deliveries.
As a promotion, Starship has been offering discounts for students who post their first deliveries on social media. Students, as usual, have also created hilarious memes and jokes about the new robots.
