Let me put y’all on to the best Mexican food in Oxford. Yes, El Agave is great and all but if you’re tired of waiting an hour for a table and spending way too much money, listen up. Taco Shop is THE best bang for your buck in Oxford. The food is fresh, delicious, and super-budget friendly.
Taco Shop also offers something a little different from the usual Mexican restaurant in Oxford. The walls are lined with jars of mole, cans of menudo, and drink mix in several flavors. They carry Mexican candies and popsicles that you can purchase at check out after your meal. I personally have to say nothing beats the mango popsicle on a hot day.
So if you’re looking to try something a little different, head on down to University Avenue behind Oby’s and order as many tacos as you heart desires. And don’t worry, you can still get your hands on a margarita 😉
